The future requires bold ideas, an entrepreneurial mindset and collaboration across boundaries. Tomorrow needs your talent. Tomorrow needs you. They really are quite good at it. However, you will learn a lot due to the complete lack of support with in the company.

So any problem you have, will need to be resolved by yourself. You will discover some employees who have been with JCI for many years. Which most always means that person is completely useless, and have spent their career hiding in a giant company, doing the bare minimum, while they collect a paycheck.

JCI looks good on your resume. Pros Looks good on Resume. Cons Terrible company culture. But lots of office politics. Made great money had great benefits and I learned a lot.

I enjoyed my job and those I worked with but the CSA position definitely took me away from family time. No balance between work and home. Yes No There are 2 unhelpful reviews 2. They are a good company with a long history in the building services industry. Management is very helpful, offers very good training and chances to advance. Pros Pay is competitive and there are good benefits. Cons Some jobs are contract base.

If the contract is lost you can possibly be out of a job. As a Member of the sheet metal department. Do not expect much time off. You will be on ongoing 13 days straight with one day off. Often filling in senior members who have scheduled vacation. You will often be asked to pick up slack from under performing employees. They have no employee evaluations and because they have such a hard time finding replacements they tend to let certain shifts get away with doing the bare minimum.

They never highlight positives and always make sure everyone hears about the negative. Employees with high seniority are super lazy and complain about less senior employees and can get them in trouble just because of their say so. HR has some good people that if it is for the good of the company will help you out.

I was let go due to attendance. I tired to ask for a temporary move to another shift due to COVID and the lack of child care due to the pandemic. It was denied and was terminated as soon as I hit maximum allowed days. I have recently been told their are several people still there with double the amount of days missed.

If you are not liked they will find a way to terminate you. I spoke up about over working people and unsafe situations that were dangerous to people in our department and it was ignored on several occasions.

You have the potential to make good money but you also will have to put any type of personal life on hold for the majority of your time there. Pros Pay and Benefits. Cons Short breaks, little to no time off, constant pressure by management to reach unattainable goals. Throughout my time here there was a major disconnect between the sales and install teams which made the job incredibly frustrating. From the sales side, you were constantly having sold projects installed late and undermined for numerous reasons, which resulted in low ability to retain customers for future projects.

There were issue with management and retention of key members of teams during Covid that were not present pre-Covid, so that may change once Covid is over more stability is necessary. I think generally the JCI office I worked for was not the worst in the physical security industry, but it was also not the best. Cons Not much room for advancement. High stress, low reward.

The company provides adequate initial training, but quickly deviates from said training. Company hiring practices are inadequate to fill the needs of the positions causing double and triple workloads on existing employees. Increasing demands are placed on the employee, piling on additional duties and overall workload without providing the necessary tools and support to accomplish the tasks given, often even restricting employee access and permissions, effectively hobbling the employee and unnecessarily overcomplicating a given task, preventing efficient completion.

Read More. Please think before joining this organisation. My work life balance was very bad here. The worst part was that no skills was developed as i was doing graphics. I kept begging all my managers reporting as well as engineering managers to shift me to hardware as well as software but they never bothered. I am currently working in a HVAC controls Japan team , The Team not only provide you the best knowledge, They provide you best working culture with stakeholders or Customers.

Mean while they give you more value when you le arn and implement something new. The Management is very harsh. They give u so much work that u cant complete in a days time. They talk filthy. Harsh words like paisa mil raha hai na paise kaat lunga are intolerable. Team members are just tolerating this regular nuisance and Ops Manager is not bothered till numbers are met. No one talks about growth. U r not allowed t o join trainings no guidance on Quality no proper training is given.

No humanity. Everything of the company. Please dont join this company though they will offer good hike in joining. Even taking a leave is like banging your head on the wall feels like better not to take leave, its a complete school system do this do that don't do this don't do that etc. Company's Policies, Compensations and benefits are really good.

Teammates are ready to help you out. I have not got any trainings from last 3 years. Job security is also not good. Work life balance is not good. Work Load in last one year is huge. Manpower according to workload is very less. We have to work for 12 hours daily. Salary with respect to work is very less. I am Sr. Design Engineer at Johnson Controls. Ethics policies are comprised for the managers who has violated company's ethics culture.
